DB Dollars

DB Dollars

BUY DB DOLLARS

We, at The Drawing Board offer our own take on spectacular gift vouchers with the magical DB Dollars*. These fantastic pieces of premium, shiny card are available in three (yes three) denominations. £5, £10 & £20 – It’s only mildly confusing as they are called dollars but actually are £. That aside you can use them at The Drawing Board pub in Leamington Spa like they are made of real money, you know for food and drink and that.

They work as ideal Birthday presents, Christmas presents or just plain old ‘presents’ presents (even new ones, maybe) They might even be used as gestures of support for small independent pubs that are mildly concerned about the current state of affairs.

You can buy them HERE, over the telephone, in person or through a window and we will either give them to you or post them to you as they are physical collectible things.

(*may not be magical, fantastic, collectible or spectacular)

Situations Vacant (Jobs!)

The Drawing Board
Is looking for an Assistant Manager to join the team.

Can someone find me a sharp witted, food loving, personality having, passionate workaholic please?!! and for the love of God, let them have a sense of humour and let them tell their own faces!

For the award winning DB its year 6 and we’re looking for future Managers in the making. We want an experienced Manager to join us. We’re amassing a small Independent army to slowly take over the Midlands (obviously)

Okay so the globe has had a rather horrific experience through this pandemic & amongst the worst sufferers it’s us in hospitality that have had a pretty hefty kick in the ghoulies. We’ve held off opening for as long as we possibly could but it’s full steam ahead as we head towards October 5th.

As an Assistant Manager you are a key member of the management team and will be expected to support the other managers as the ‘right hand’ person in all aspects of sharing responsibility for the day to day running of the pub. You will also assume responsibility for the pub when the manager is not on the premises with the help of the rest of the management team.

You’ll need to be a real foodie; have a real passion for decent beer and wine; enjoy looking after others and help build and direct a happy crew. The role will therefore be very hands-on and pretty varied encompassing people management, food and drink, customer service, pub maintenance and day to day financial administration. This is a 24/7 full on front of house, customer facing, people loving cabaret!
At the end of the day the most important quality we look for in all our people is strength of personality. We like fun characters who set the bar high and have an eye for detail.

We’ll reward you with a cracking salary plus tips. If this sounds like your cup of tea/glass of wine/pint of beer get in touch via email – send us a copy of your CV & a bit of a nattery type cover letter…

The Drawing Board was established in 2015. It is an independent Free House in Leamington Spa- apparently the happiest place to live in the country (I have my doubts but who am I to argue?) we won The Great British Pub Awards Best Beer Pub in 2019 which we’re still harping on about amongst other various prestigious gongs over the last few years.

Reopening & Bookings

Greetings Boarders! Thank you pandemic for introducing us to a refreshing new experience – being genuinely pleased to see you!!

We are reopening from our hibernation on Monday 5th October at about tea time. You can now book a table using our online booking system on this very website. The old fashioned amongst you might still wish to pick up the telephone or fling us an email (bear in mind we aren’t currently in the building to answer the blower!)

We’ve finally donned scrubs to create a socially distant DB and hopefully you’ll all feel comfortable enough to show us you’ve missed us like we’ve missed you!

Shop Opening Hours

From next week some semblance of normality will return to the shop.

Not only will Will be back in residence but his dog, Mishka will be as well.

We will be open for everything, including drink in as long as you all satanise and promise not to lick the fridges.

Weds 4.30pm – 8pm

Thurs 4.30pm – 8pm

Fri 4.30pm – 8pm

Sat 12 – 8pm

Can You See My Growler?

We now offer take away draught beer options in 2 pint milk cartons & 1 litre reusable glass growlers. As we emerge from lockdown we’re hoping that drinking in will become a possibility again…until then this will have to do…

ReOpening?

We very much want the new normal to be somewhat reminiscent of the old normal so it’s unlikely we will be opening in July.

Simply put I don’t feel that within the current guidelines we can operate safely, profitably and in any way reminiscent of what we were doing before.

I feel that the bar is and always has been the beating heart of our operation & until we can see the whites of your eyes (and lick them) we will hold fire. Don’t even get me started on how to safely operate a socially distant kitchen!

We want to create a safe environment for staff and patrons alike so in the meantime please support us through The DB Bottle Shop. We want to come back, and we will, but we want to get it right.
